Sensory Processing Treatment Through Soundsory

Sensory processing creates sensation from one's body and the state, thus creating it achievable to use the body efficiently within the circumstances. Particularly it deals with how the mind treats various sensory modality information, such as proprioception, thought, sensory system, physical, olfactory, vestibular system, interoception, and taste into usable practical outputs.

SOUNDSORY®

SOUNDSORY® applies a multi-sensory strategy that connects sound with action to stimulate the vestibular and sensory systems concurrently. This combined approach gives a unique approach to sensory processing south africa, sensitive direction, and cognitive skill improvement. It consists of individually created music processed with neuro-acoustic changes as well as a range of movement-based activities and can be profitable to people with:

  • Motor delays, Balance and Coordination
  • Autism spectrum and Developmental delays
  • Auditory and Sensory processing disorders
  • ADD and ADHD

The program continues for 40 days and is comprised of two sections. The first section lasts 25 minutes, and the second section lasts 5 minutes. The first section is rhythmic music listening, and the second section uses change with the activities.

How It Works

This approach works by having the music presented by air and bone-conduction. This produces complete auditory stimulation. All of the body action exercises need no extra assistance. The user can adapt them to their strengths. The sessions should take place in a comfortable situation. Users are supported to be productive while listening to the music. Though, the user should not use screens, drive or eat while the schedule is going.

How Does the Sensory Integration Therapy Training Work?

Soundsory consolidates music and action to develop the mind and body by creating new brain attachments. The music is very specific with neuro-acoustic modifications that are added and changes while the child is listening. These changes happen just like they do in real life and trains the brain to predict them and make adjustments to maintain attention. The sounds are transferred by air and bone conduction which stimulates the vestibular and auditory systems.

Besides the song, there are movement-based activities the kid will do for five minutes every day. This part of the program trains proprioception, which is the sense that lets us know what position our body is in. Children who have proprioceptive problems tend to be clumsy, run into things, or are very rough. This exercise improves the brain's experience where the body builds muscle power.

In a nutshell, all of this indicates the program enhances your child’s cognitive, motor, and sensitive abilities while listening to uniquely composed music and doing action activities. The results would be better memory, attention, and coordination.

Who Is Soundsory For?

Anyone can benefit from making new brain connections but this program was specifically created for people with:

  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Autism (or on the autism spectrum)
  • Developmental Delays
  • Auditory Processing Disorders
  • Balance and Coordination Problems
  • Motor Delays
  • Attention Issues such as ADD and ADHD

How to Use the Soundsory Program

The program lasts for 40 days. While listening to the music, the child can do creative activities such as art, playing with building blocks or Legos, or dancing. They do not recommend the child use screens or be chewing. (Adults should not be driving.) The child should do the sessions when he is calm and relaxed.

  • 30 minutes a day is all it takes. It’s split into two sessions:
  • 25-minute listening session
  • The 5-minute listening session with accompanying exercises
  • The movement-based exercises are found on the Soundsory website and have videos to follow along with. They don’t need any accessories and are flexible to your child’s understanding.

The headphones shut off automatically when the session is finished and will start on the next program when turned on again. The battery lasts nine hours so you are not recharging all the time. It also has a Bluetooth function to use them as regular headphones and a carrying case that zips closed.

You can repeat the entire program but wait at least four weeks after finishing one before starting another.
